Mian-Satr is an independent Tehran publisher of fiction, essays and contemporary translations. Instead of a product grid, the site is built as a single-page literary room: a weekly shelf of eight spines you physically pull out, a full spec sheet for every title, a 3D book you can rotate and flip through, staff picks written in the bookseller's own voice, a monthly reading club, and in-store events — all on a paper-and-ink palette that re-themes itself around whichever book you are holding.
Bring the neighborhood bookstore's shelf experience to the web: a place where you pull a book out, flip through it, and hear the bookseller's voice — not another online store. A publisher that "publishes less and reads more" deserved a site that is meant to be read slowly, too.
No product grid: a living shelf of pull-out 3D spines, and a "room" per book whose palette follows its cover — sage green, night navy, near-black. Markazi Text and Vazirmatn on a paper-and-ink base, unhurried human Persian copy ("the tea is on the table — bring your own book"), and touch-like interaction in place of standard buttons.
